Why Doctors Don’t Test For Hashimoto’s & Why You Should Demand They Do
“Better Health Begins At The Cell.” -Dr. Bill Cole
(If you think your problems are thyroid related go to ColeClass.com and watch the short video (about 23 minutes) that I made for you. It’s free… You don’t even have to give me your email.)
Hey guys, I commonly start my day with blood results for patients that we have sent out for blood-work on my desk. The other day I had the results for three patients. These three ladies are all hypothyroid, they’re all seeing their doctor, and taking their thyroid medication. Doctors are telling them their blood-work is normal. They don’t feel normal. This has been going on for years. Does that sound familiar? Can’t lose weight, no energy, hair falling out, brain fog, gut problems, anxiety, you name it, these ladies have it. And they’re super frustrated, right? Because their doctors telling them everything should be okay but they don’t feel okay.
We sent them out for some testing. And what I always look for is whether or not these ladies have an underlying autoimmune disease called Hashimoto’s. It would probably surprise a lot of you to hear this, but approximately nine out of ten women in the United States who have hypothyroid disease actually don’t have as their primary problem a thyroid disease. They actually have an autoimmune disease where their immune system is attacking and killing the cells of their thyroid. Your doctor would agree with this. It’s well known.
You would ask why haven’t you tested me for that then? And their answer is probably going to be because there’s nothing you can do about it. And this is where they’re wrong. There are things that you can do about it. And I want to tell you something, if you have like this woman right here. If you have antibodies TPO and TGA that test high, you have an underlying autoimmune disease.
Girls, how healthy can you be if you’re taking your medication, you’re doing what your doctor says, but you have an immune system that’s so out of whack, it’s so unhealthy, that it is identifying your thyroid as a foreign invader and it’s killing your cells in your thyroid. I don’t care how you take your medication, I don’t care how well you eat, chances of that person ever feeling fully well are very, very slim. And it’s what we see in droves. It’s the big 800-pound gorilla in the room. It’s not being talked about, but it is so prevalent. It’s at epidemic numbers when it comes to thyroid patients.
What I would tell you is this, even if you’ve been diagnosed as Hashimoto’s, some of you know that you are, there are so many things that a Hashimoto’s patient can’t do because it really acts like throwing gasoline on a fire. They think that they’re doing the right things, but they’re actually doing the wrong things. They’re making their situation worse. This is the reason why so many women with thyroid conditions take their medication but don’t feel better.
This has to be identified. If you have this, there are things that you have to do to turn that immune response down. And there are things that you can do. So, I want to encourage you, if you don’t know the answer to that you’ve got to go find that out. Get your doctor to run a TPO or a TGA test. If they won’t do it come to us. This is what we do. We can run those tests for you.
I hope this helps.
Take care of yourself, God bless.
